AbbaMania/Night Fever (Bee Gees) (Tribute) | Aug 19
It’s been 31 years since Abba last toured and, as you can imagine, in 1979 ticket availability was scarce. Abba Mania, the tribute, takes you back in time by recreating one of the world’s finest pop groups in a live stage performance. Abbamania will be joined by horns from Chicago Transit. This highly polished, professional production was created in 1999, described by the New York Times as “vocally superb”, the band has performed twice for the cast of Mama Mia, who commented on their performance by saying, “Abbamania IS Abba.”
Preceding Abbamania on the Fred Anderson stage is Night Fever, a tribute to iconic disco band The Bee Gees. Equally convincing with all the signature high harmonies and stage presence, they perform classic hits “Jive Talking”, “Too Love Somebody”, “Stayin’ Alive” and “You Should Be Dancing” just to name a few. Both tribute acts perform over 200 concerts a year and will take you back in time to when both ruled the pop music universe. Two great shows, one stage.
