A Celtic Celebration: Mudmen with Special Guest Irish Millie
Part of Irish Week – Celebrating the Nine Ships 1825 Bicentennial

Get ready for a powerful night of Celtic rock and fiddling finesse as Mudmen take the stage, with special guest Irish Millie opening the evening – all as part of Irish Week, aligning with the Nine Ships 1825 Bicentennial 2025 celebrations.

Over 25 years strong, Mudmen have built a legacy as one of Canada’s most electrifying Celtic rock bands. Originally known as “The Campbell Brothers,” the group’s founding bagpipe-playing siblings Robby and Sandy adopted the name “Mudmen” – a nod to their past lives as bricklayers – and never looked back. Blending traditional Scottish influences with high-voltage rock energy, Mudmen’s unforgettable performances have landed them everywhere from video games and TV soundtracks to Hockey Night in Canada and Parliament Hill, where they performed for Queen Elizabeth II. With their unique sound and unstoppable stage presence, Mudmen are more than a band – they’re a Canadian cultural force.

Opening the night is rising fiddler Irish Millie, appearing with the support and sponsorship of Nine Ships 1825. Inspired at just three years old by a live performance from Natalie MacMaster, Irish Millie (Amelia Shadgett) has followed a remarkable musical path. A five-time Canadian Folk Music Award nominee, Millie blends Old Time fiddling with bold creative flair. Now 18 and studying Music Industry and Technology at the University of Toronto, she continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences with her talent and passion.

Don’t miss this dynamic Celtic double bill – a highlight of Irish Week and a proud part of the Nine Ships 1825 Bicentennial 2025 programming.
